One of the greatest revivals that have ever taken place in the life and
ministry of
Elder Ernest Johnson did not take place in a Pentecostal church, so he thought.
It did not take place in a charismatic church neither. But believe it or not it
took place in a small Baptist church approximately 100 miles north of Atlanta,
Georgia in a little town of the most friendliest people in the world. The
greatest revival ever in the life and ministry of Elder Ernest Johnson took
place in a 125 year old Baptist church turned holiness church in a little
country town called Rome, Georgia. The pastor, a great man of God, shocked this
holiness preacher right out of his socks. How you say? Well, the first time that
he ever went to preach at the church he tried to not be offensive by telling the
people about the baptism of the Holy Ghost and about the need of the baptism in
the Name of Jesus Christ, too soon. He felt that if he came right out and told
them about the Biblical plan of salvation that they might not have wanted him
back. Nevertheless, to his surprise, after the second night of the revival the
pastor asked him, "Why didn't you tell the people that they needed to be
baptized in JESUS' Name?" With his mouth dropped wide open he became
speechless. God had already given the angle of this church the revelation
of the baptism in Jesus Name and the revelation of the infilling of the Holy
Ghost speaking with tongues. After Elder Johnson was shocked out of his socks
the miracles began, POWWWW!!! The pastor, James B. Jewel, spirit filled
former tent evangelist, had received the revelation of Jesus Name out of his own
mouth while ministering in a church service one day in his former Baptist
church. He preached it out of his own mouth and when he went to the word of God
he found that IT WAS SO. He realized the NAME of the Father, the Son and
the Holy Ghost was JESUS!! After being elected to the well established
traditional church, he was fought on every hand not to leave the Baptist
TRADITION and turn this church into a Holy Ghost Church. He has pastured the PLEASANT
GROVE BAPTIST CHURCH for the past 13 years now, and oh what a change that the
Lord has made in this ministry. Unlike the leadership of the past, most of
his members have been baptized in Jesus Name and have received the gift of the
Holy Ghost speaking with tongues. GLORY!!! God is revealing Himself to His
people like never before. Saints, introducing, THE PLEASANT GROVE BAPTIST CHURCH
of ROME, Georgia....

This is the most recent home of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Facilities
Located at 500 Division Street In Rome, Georgia. Its membership boasts about one
hundred and fifty or more. I hear that the church is experiencing great growth
in the last few months. Thank God for new souls.

Pastor James Jewel and His Wife Sis. Jewel pose with Brother
Todd Bridges at the first revival at Pleasant Grove conducted by
Elder Ernest Johnson. You talking miracles, I do mean miracles.
The coming together of the Pleasant Grove family with Elder
Johnson was all
a move of God upon the heart of Todd's wife, Dori Bridges, to bring that
anointing that she saw in California, to her family in Summerville, Ga. Little
did she know that this would blossom into a beautiful relationship of God. Thank
you Sis. Dori for obeying the move of God in your heart for your family to
be
saved.

Its a double take. Bro. Aaron Frazier poses with
the couple who caught the vision of Sis. Dori Bridges
and brought it to their pastor. Minister Terry Mayes
and her husband, Floyd County Commissioner and
Entrepreneur John Mayes. They are faithful workers
in Pleasant Grove and right hands to Pastor Jewel.

The choir that rocks the south!! Yes, you know it, "It's All About
JESUS!!",
the choir. God used these young people in a might way to help bring the
spirit of praise down in Rome. I was so inspired by the love that these
young
people have for Jesus as well as their talents that they use to glorify His
Holy
Name. "It's all about JESUS!!" is the name of the choir. Hey!!!
Lift HIM up choir, in Jesus mighty Name!!!

Elder Johnson's favorite place to get his hair cut in Rome.
Bro. Bubba, also a member at Pleasant Grove, owns and operates this
community barber shop. He is always busy. Atlanta is a booming place for
minority business growth.

This is the inside of this great community barber shop. The barber to the
left,
Minister Manfred, is Elder Johnson's barber, while in Georgia. To the right,
Bubbas son also works at the shop when he gets a break from Georgia Tech
University. Praise The Lord for young men getting an education and
serving
the Lord Jesus Christ, as Bro. Manfred continues to do. This is a great place
to
witness while the souls are in the barber's chair.

Pleasant Grove has a ministry to Africa where they take a team of ministers
once, sometimes twice, per year to take relief over to Africa via a great
minister name Bro. Ya who pastors in Africa. Pleasant Grove is also planning to
build churches there and JESUS IS THE ANSWER Ministries is also beginning
to do its part to help the effort by giving finances and working toward
helping
building a few churches that will be called JESUS IS THE ANSWER churches
of
Africa. Praise The Lord that we want to help our brothers across the waters, in
the mother land. Join our efforts and help us help God's people in Africa.
Elder Johnson poses with Pastor Jewels lawyer and a medical doctor who
often volunteers his time and efforts to the people of Africa who cannot afford
medical treatment.

I've been down in JESUS' Name!!

Now are ye washed, now are ye clean
and now are ye justified in the name of
the Lord Jesus Christ.!!!

Feel the power, experience the miracles, hear the testimonies,
listen to the voice of the Lord through one crying in the wilderness
at the next revival service in Rome, Georgia.

Elder Johnson poses with two of the young men in the All About Jesus
Choir. He loves to encourage the youth to move ahead and succeed
as tomorrows leaders.

This is da bomb spot for soul food in Rome. Visit the two sisters cafe
and trust me you'll really experience southern home cookin at a restaurant.

Minister Manfred was so graceful to treat the man of God out
in order for him to discover great southern cookin while in
Georgia. Thanks Bro. Manfred. God give you the prophet's
reward, in Jesus' Name!!
Well saints, I hope you enjoyed this page on Georgia. Be sure
